- Pros: This made me cry when I witnessed Ed's regrets about being unable to provide as much. I like how they twist the concept of isekai and regression simultaneously. When I finished reading some chapters, I loved how we read some tidbits like the 100th world's aftermath after Ed got banished, more info on the powers Ed receives when he is banished, and help as he could provide information on the locations in the manga.
- Cons: This is a monthly-release manga, meaning updating would take a while. I wish there were more flashbacks of Ed's first time meeting the hero party in the first world, as we get little to no information on his journey.
Regression Mechanism:
After Ed witnessed the fall of the world and got isekai'd, he deeply regretted not helping out the group as much as he could before his banishment. When Ed returned to the main lobby, or what Ed calls the White World, where all of the 100 worlds are connected, he was given a chance to grant a wish with one of his exiled abilities. Ed's wish was to restart his 100-world journey and save all of the worlds he had come across.
There is little to no information about who trapped Ed in the first place, but they give him a book about what he must do to return home.

Ed regaining his memories (ch 6) |
Ed realized that he had regressed when he touched the crystal ball on the table in the White World, where he had gotten all of his memories of entering the world.
Regressor Analysis:
Ed is the regressor of this manga and an isekai character who travels to 100 different worlds for 100 years. He was a mercenary who only did what was told by a mysterious entity to stay with the hero's party of each world for at least half a year before getting exiled from that party and going into the next world. Despite the long journey, Ed remains at 20 in body and spirit. His original goal is to return to his original world where he was last. Still, after witnessing the horrors of his first hero's party failing to defeat the demon lord and the last survivor of the party, Tia, Ed made his decision to use his final gift of completing the mission to reset time to ensure that all 100 hero's party from different world succeed in defeating the demon lord.

Ed in the White World (ch 1) |
In Ed's first world, when he gets isekai'd, he can meet the demands of the hero, Alexis, to join the hero's party by almost being even with him in combat and purchasing the items needed for the journey to beat the demon lord. Ed also provided the group with better equipment by blacksmithing tools made of mithril, a powerful, rare mineral. After getting the mithril, Ed helps Alexis find the actual whereabouts of the true holy sword and helps Alexis redefine the meaning of being a hero. Around the end of the journey in the first world, Ed uses this chance to be exiled as he sees the three ready to defeat the demon lord. Ed does this to ensure the group defeats the demon lord. At the same time, he takes care of the rest of the demons that were originally ambushing the group. After ten minutes of fighting the demons, Ed gets sent back to the White World to be awarded a book detailing the hero's journey through the hero's perspective, in which Alexis. At the end of the book, it reveals how grateful Alexis is towards Ed as he says that they would not be able to defeat the demon lord without Ed.

Ed is mentioned as the Fourth Hero through Alexis's perspective (ch 17) |
Ed becomes aware of his bias in the people he correctly identifies. He notes how Alexis surpasses Ed's expectations of his character when he is willing to ask Ed for help in finding the real holy sword. This flaw almost got Ed kicked out of the party by Alexis for being too suspicious of helping them get much stronger than anticipated. Another flaw of Eds that he improved over time is his nonchalantness about the whole mission when he did his first round of going to 100 Worlds. Based on his not being overreactive in being exiled due to completing the mission and not bothering to make a genuine farewell from his 100th world at the beginning of the story, he does not take his actions seriously. While he was more prepared for the 100th world as he handed that hero party instructions on becoming stronger, he did not do much to prepare the first world for departure. Ed was too focused on his goal to return home. Finally, Ed is closed off because it causes miscommunication within the group by not explaining to the First World hero party where he went after disappearing. Although there is good intent in not revealing too much information to others, this leads to distress with people who care for him, like Tia, worry for him. People like Alexis are suspicious of him for not revealing everything and perceive Ed as untrustworthy.

Ed admits his views of Alexis (ch 11) |
The person who has been through the most with Ed is Lunaritia, or Tia for short, an elf mage responsible for initiating Ed's exile. At first glance, Ed believes everyone in the hero's party thinks he is a peeping tom on Tia when he accidentally walks in on her changing. Still, Tia only did this to protect Ed since he was weak then, while the party's hero, Alexis Northland, viewed Ed as a hindrance. Only after they banished Ed did they regret how important Ed was in being a luggage carrier, booking rooms, and doing the chores. When Ed meets Tia again, Tia is thrilled that Ed is at least alive and well but still believes he is the same weak person he once was. Tia sacrifices her life in exchange for using forbidden magic to save Ed's life from the demons coming to her house after she and Ed are reunited. Ed gets frustrated that he did not do enough to save his first hero party and has to witness Tia taking her last breath at the border of the demon world, where Alexis and Gonza both pass away. Their relationship initiates Ed's wish to regress in the first place. The difference after the regression is that Tia no longer views Ed as a weakling but rather someone very strong and capable who means a lot to the hero's party. Ed and Tia also spent much time together after the regression, deepening their relationship. When Ed sacrifices himself to ensure the three heroes defeat the demon lord, Tia is emotionally overwhelmed. She does not want to see a guy like Ed die just to protect them. After Ed finishes his task, Tia spends ten years finding where Ed went and eventually uses a magic spell to send herself to the White World. While traveling to the White World, Tia gains memories of the past life, from Ed's first encounter with him to his dying ten years in the previous timeline, which she tells Ed after finding him. There, Ed explains his situation to Tia, while Tia tells Ed how much she misses him and tells him never to run away again. Their relationship becomes deeper after they both communicate their problems to each other.

Tia reuniting with Ed in the White World (ch 21) |
Evaluation on Regression:
The regression in this manga is done well due to learning alongside Ed the regrets of not being able to properly help the hero party in the first world to defeat the demon lord. This is also to help Ed make up for the first world's failure by regressing while keeping his memories and abilities, which, this time, he is much stronger than in his first encounter with the party.
In the future, I hope the manga explains why the entity chose Ed, of all people, to go through the journey of 100 worlds in 100 different hero parties to defeat the demon lord.
Final Thoughts:
Although this manga is short because it is new, you should read it as it will change your perspective on how you view regression manga. I have reread this manga multiple times because I want to experience Ed's journey again and look more in-depth at the first world Ed got isekai'd to. I recommend reading this manga slowly, as there are small details in the manga that you would find when looking at it carefully.
I hope to meet other hero party members for the Second World and learn more about the culture. The norms between first and second-world countries are different. Since this manga is still going on, I wonder how the author plans on making each of the remaining 98 worlds unique so that it does not leave the reader bored. In the future, I hope we get to explore Ed's past before getting isekai'd and find scenes where it matches the panels of Ed's old memories to the worlds that they belong to.
